“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we took so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened up for us”
- Helen Keller
Many of us choose to hang on to things that at some point have hurt us, angered us, made us feel sad, or depressed us. If we choose to hang on to them, we will never move forward. Think of it this way: You're on a hiking trip and along the way you keep picking up heavy objects, things that do not serve you any benefits. Without you knowing, these objects begin to slow you down and unless you get rid of them, you'll never complete your trip. You might choose to live in the past, but basically what it means is you are giving up on your future
